Plant Walk!

I’m planning a community plant walk on Sunday, the 16th at 4:00 PM! I will be joined by two of my good friends, Natasha Lambert with Bee-Lightful Botanicals & Homestead and Tanner Hammond, locally know as Mushroom Man Tan! Natasha is a wonderful herbalist who's knowledge of wild plants is incredible! She has been in this field for decades now. Tanner is a wild mushroom enthusiast who specializes in wild mushrooms & cultivation! This event is donation based, pay what you can, so don’t let lack of funds hold you back. We will be meeting at the Glenn Sebastian Nature Trail at South’s campus. We are going to walk the wooded trails and see what all we can see! There are a ton of edible and medicinal plants along these trails, so I’m sure we will have great luck in finding cool plants to discuss. I will bring everyone a scavenger hunt, so please RSVP to this event so I have an idea of how many to bring along. If you’ve wanted to start learning more about the native plants in our area, this is a great opportunity to get some hands on experience and ask questions in person. I’m excited to host this community event and look forward to more of these as we move into cooler weather!
